13 4-22-07 1 38 59 7:33       618 Santa Cruz Half Marathon, Santa Cruz, CA A damp start, but clear skies for the run. I started at the back to take it easy after last week's 50 miler, but ended up passing lots of people all the way through the run.
5   4-25-07   18 35 5:59 2 2 100 707 Adobe Fitness Center Spring Fun Run, San Jose A few good runners showed up today. Last 8 miles are mostly downhill, but it's technical single track trail, so you can't make good time.( Marathon #30, Marathon+ #46)

Inner right thigh ached after a while, probably due to compensating for the calf. Walked a lot of the first few mile because of the hills and climbing. I think that helped a lot to loosen the calf, too. Ran about 10 miles with Christina. Finished just a minute behind her because of steep downhills that I didn't want to risk running too fast.( 50k #14, Ultra #17, Marathon+ #47)
26 7-29-07 3 51 49 8:51 896 115 785 554 San Francisco Marathon, San Francisco, CA Overcast and cool at the start and finish. Misty and breezy over the Golden Gate bridge. I ran with Arnon from Mile 3 to about mile 14, then I had to stop and stretch. Hip flexors gave me the most trouble.( Marathon #31, Marathon+ #48)
50   9-8-07 7 14 34 13:59 33 30 110 354 Stevens Creek 50k, Palo Alto, CA Warm day, with little breeze. I lead the race for the early start group between mile 1 and 6. People started catching up to me once we crossed the creek and had to climb back out of the canyon. Felt pretty good most of the way. A few minor stomach aches, but ginger cured those.
